the unsatisfactory state of the Store Accounts of the

Public Works Department, which is due to a great extent to

the dispersion of the Store Houses in different parts of

the Colony.

In a recent report to the Colonial Govern-

ment he has suggested that on the completion of the new

Store House, which he was informed by the Director of

Public Works would be ready at an early date, steps should

he taken for placing the arrangements for the custody of,

and the accounting for, the Stores on a thoroughly satis-

factory basis.
